MIL DTL 16878/16
MIL-DTL 16878/16 is a high performance power/battery cable designed specifically for military vehicles. It meets both MIL-DTL 16878/16 and SAEJ1127 GXL requirements. As engine compartments grow smaller, operating temperatures get hotter and electronics proliferate under the hood, MIL-DTL 16878/16 power/battery cable fulfills these demands.
MIL-DTL 16878/16 power/battery cable has an irradiated cross-linked polyolefin insulation able to withstand temperatures in excess of 125°C to 200°C and higher. MIL-DTL 16878/16 can provide the solution to the complex demands of the current military environments. Thinner and lighter than other conventional battery cables, it is flexible enough for easy routing yet tough enough to withstand the roughest environments. The end result is a military power/battery wire ideally suited to applications where a combination of flexibility, long life and performance is required.
